Overview of SETA’s Youth Services

SETA’s YOUTH SERVICES are delivered collaboratively in the Sacramento Works One Stop Career Center system. A Youth Specialist at each One Stop helps youth access employment and training resources.

Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Services – The Sacramento Works WIA Youth program is delivered collaboratively in the One Stop Career Centers. The Sacramento WIA program serves both in-school and out-of-school youth ages 16 to 21 and focuses on three primary goals:

  • Improving Academic Achievement
  • Preparing for and Succeeding in Employment
  • Supporting Youth Development

SETA currently partners with community-based organizations and school districts to provide the WIA Youth Services.

The Sacramento Works CalGRIP Program began in July 2009. This program serves youth involved in gangs or at risk of gang involvement. Services include assessment, academic and employment counseling and services, training opportunities and support services. Community Partnerships – SETA and Sacramento Works partner with a variety of community partners to serve Sacramento Youth.
